Destroyvale/Ender/Et. Al.

Worth Terrance Center
October 30, 2004
Well, this was probably one of the worst shows I have ever been to. There was only one really good band that played. Then the rest either sucked horribly or were just OK.
I have no idea what the first band's name was. I think it could've been The Valentine's Day Massacre, but I swore that they had a show some place else. They were OK. I think I saw their bassist in some other band before (It could've been A Call To Arms, but I'm not sure). They were the only band in costume. Two of them had zombie makeup and the other was in a suit.
The next band, Ender, sucked. They did a Blink 182 cover, a Green Day cover, and a Matchbook Romance cover. That was all they did. Three fricking songs, which you could barely hear over the horrible feedback screeching. Ya, they were REALLY unorganized, too. In the beginning it looked like their guitarists weren't
sure what they were doing. It was horrible. T here was no range at all of pitch in his voice.
The next band, oh man, the vocals were soooo horrible. Their lead singer did not know how to sing. It was just one flat pitch. And they did mainly covers, too. They did a Thursday cover, a Taking Back Sunday cover, and a The Used cover. All which the lead singer killed because he doesn't know how to sing. I mean, his vocals were so off because it was all one pitch. There was like no notes he hit during it. It was almost like a monotone singing voice. It was absolutely horrible. I mean I was starting to think I was better off sitting at home being bored as hell.
Then, finally, Destroyvale comes sweeping down from the heavens to save the night. Well, they didn't do exactly that, but it was pretty close because compared to all the other bands that played, they were the best band ever. They were the only band worth watching and listening to, too. They were probably the most energetic band there, except for their one guitarist, Al. Like his back was facing the crowd 97% of the time. He was just standing there facing his amp. Then he occasionally started doing some weird footwork. It was like he was in his own little world. But their bassist, Colin was moving around a lot and everything.
Most of the bands there were pretty pathetic. I hope I never have to see Ender and the other band play ever again. I don't think I'd be able to handle it. If I have to see them again, I'll probably end up either killing myself or them during the set because it's just so horrible. I won't mind seeing Destroyvale again since they were the only ones that made the show worthwhile.
