Catch For Us The Foxes

Tooth & Nail Records
Release Date: October 5, 2004
First of all, I just want to say that this CD is amazing.
This is mewithoutYou's second CD. And let me tell you, it's just as good, if not better, than the last one. This band is a lot different than any other band I have ever heard. The songs aren't set up with much structure, but they are very organized. A lot of times you don't hear the "verse-chorus-verse" kind of thing, these song just flow.
I don't think the vocals are ever in key, but it never sounds wrong, it's just that amazing. It sounds more like talking, and sometimes angry yelling over the music rather than singing, and I love it. The guitar parts are normally slower and involve a lot of feedback with more upbeat drum beats, and it mixes beautifully.
It's hard to think of this band as a Christian band. I don't hear many Christian bands that I like at all. I would have never guessed. And I also would never have guessed that the singer in
this band is a college teacher! Whoa! Yeah it's a messed up world.
This CD just has so many rockin' songs on it, every song is completely amazing. My personal favorites are "Four Word Letter Part 2" and "Tie me up! Unite me!" This band has it all, one day the world will worship them. There is no other band like this out there. I give them mad props because now-a-days it's hard to play music and sound NOTHING like anyone else, practically start your own genre, and be completely amazing at the same time. It's almost God-like.
For some odd reason this band kind of reminds me of a band we all know and love, Thursday. I think it has something to do with the guitar riffs, although they are a bit slower. But just because this band is slower than some does not mean that they lack energy! No it doesn't! This whole CD is filled with energy like you have never felt before in your life. And the music is powerful and dramatic, and...BRILLIANT. I can't express to you how much I enjoy this band. Definitely check these guys out, and you can thank me later.
Ii recommend this band to fans of Thursday and Against Me! That may sound stupid but they kind of remind me of Against Me! also.
