to realize that this band is the epitome of the word "rock." Duff McKagen, Slash, Matt Sorum, Dave Kushner, and Scott Weiland come together in what seems to have crash and burn all over it. But that is exactly what this band is doing. It is tearing up the airwaves with "Slither," the first single off Velvet Revolver's debut album 
Contraband, on RCA. Of course you are going to hear Guns N' Roses, and of course you might be reminded of Stone Temple Pilots, but while echoes of the past are audible, these guys are molding the future of Rock and Roll.
