Silence Syndicate
All or Nothing
VD Records
Release Date: 2003
Silence Syndicate is a local band from all over Georgia. With no common hometown, they sure know how to leave their mark where they play, always with a packed crowed of fans ready to rock. They sure know what they're doing. Their CD, All or Nothing, is a great CD just waiting to be heard. They mix a little bit of everything, mainly an old school thrash sound while still mixing in some slower, yet melodic, beats.
The CD has a very unique album cover that only they could think of. Their sound is not necessarily unique, but still can make you rock. The album does do them justice when it comes to live versus album style music. One of my favorite songs, "Bulletproof," is track five of twelve. The track has uniqueness because it goes out to the people that take music lyrics too seriously, and it mentions things like "bring it on get the knife and slit your wrist/bring it on get the gun and shoot yourself." And yet it makes you rock because it has the beat that you can't stand still to. It isn't hard to fall in love with the album. They bring back old beats that a lot of rock today is based on.
The album contains a lot of growls, guitar screams, and distorted sound. But I highly recomend it for those die-hard thrash fans looking for music to headbang to.
