NEWEST STUFF

Lostprophets
Start Something
Lostprophets with Start Something
Visible Noise Records
Release Date: February 2, 2004

This is the Welsh sextet’s second album following their successful debut The Fake Sound Of Progress.  There’s been Lostprophets Promo Photosome incredible progress for the band if you compare both albums.  In their latest work, each song is totally different and they are compiled in a extraordinary manner to form a brilliant CD!

Start Something opens in an outstanding way with “We Still Kill the Old Way,” a track that introduces the general sound of the album and gets you into head-banging mode.  A few other notable songs (although all are great) are:

“Last Train Home” - This song has a captivating tune to it, and it’s the type that gets stuck in your head.   The chorus is awesome and there’s some good lyrics happening.Lostprophets Promo Shot

“Make a Move” - An amazing song with an intense and catchy chorus...wow!

Lostprophets Live“Burn, Burn” - Ian Watkins’s  voice reminds me of Incubus’s Brandon Boyd on this track, it’s a great, slightly head-banging song.

“ A Million Miles” - This song isn’t as intense song as some of their others, but it still makes for a good listen.

The album could benefit from maybe one other slower song, to break down the intensity and fast rhythm of the whole CD, but nevertheless Start Something manages to grab your attention from beginning to very end.  If they continue their astonishing rate of progress, their next album is poised to be a classic.

With this album, Lostprophets revive rock ballads and indicate the progression of metal.  This album is definitely for you if you’re a fan of metal and rock music and looking for some new, distinctive metal.  It also comes with some bonus stuff for your computer.  You won’t be disappointed.
