Notes & Photographs

Release Date: October 28, 2003
Interscope Records
If you like Onelinedrawing, The Starting Line, or The Ataris, you need to check out JamisonParker’s Notes&Photographs. Jamison Covington and Parker Case are the geniuses behind JamisonParker (I guess CovingtonCase was just too emo-core). Released on Interscope Records, Notes&Photographs is slowly becoming a favorite of every scene kid across the United States. With their heartfelt lyrics and remarkable live show, this duo has become a huge underground success and have begun to make a name for themselves in mainstream.
Notes&Photographs is a five-song EP that will leave you completely breathless and dazed. Each song seems to be more personal then the next with its descriptive longing for the girl they never got. The album has a poppy sound that is simply the perfect element to this EP. Lyrics like “I’m bleeding and I’m heartless but I’m yours” and “did you know you were the girl that made love a four letter word” are sure to make this duo unstoppable. The record
starts off with an upbeat track entitled “Home” which sets the direction of the entire album. My favorite song on the EP would be “Biting Bullets” because its jammed packed
with bitter goodbyes and sappy apologies.
This is the anthem for the brokenhearted. Notes&Photographs is a perfect album to drive around and kill some time to. It’s too bad that this going to be put in the emo category because this EP is so upbeat it hurts. If you love sappy lyrics and crying about the girl that left you broken, you need to buy Notes&Photographs. So, go ahead and buy it so you can cry yourself to sleep. Also, don’t forget to hit the repeat button so you can wake up balling.
