Independent Release Ahh, you gotta love supergroups. And the beauty of it is, unlike Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, this supergroup has their own unique sound and songs. The startling line-up for Jackson features Chris Shiflett on guitars and vocals (Foo Fighters), Scott Shiflett on bass (Face to Face), and Pete Parada on drums (Saves the Day, Face to Face). I can't think of a more kick ass lineup for band than that! Not only does it combine some musicians from some of my favorite bands, but, as I mentioned before...They kick ass!!! Ahhh, you gotta love supergroups.
Too bad they only have an EP out because I want more! I can't get enough of this band! "All The Way" kicks off the EP in a great style, which doesn't fade out throughout the next four songs. My favorite, however, is "Fell Into." I'm not sure what it is about this song, but I just can't get enough of it; the guitar riffs, the lyrics, EVERYTHING! Each band member brings their talent from their respective bands. With this combined talent, I'd almost hope they give up their day jobs and take on the Jackson gig full-time. Jacksons self-titled EP is currently available in the US from their website http://www.jackson-music.com/ and at Hot Topic stores across the United States.
