Further Seems Forever
How to Start a Fire
Further Seems Forever with How To Start A Fire
Tooth & Nail Records
Release Date:  October 13, 2003

Further Seems ForeverIf I had to describe this record in one word, it would have to be “phenomenal.”  This band has definitely lived up to my expectations and perhaps the few thousand people that go to their energetic shows every time they play.

In case you didn’t know, this band has a new singer, Jon Bunch.  Though when How Further Seems Foreverto Start a Fire was released, there was former lead singer, Jason Gleason, whose voice, being nothing less than passionate throughout every single song;  makes this record something to keep listening to when every other record you have gets old and tiresome.

The band, Jason Gleason (former lead vocalist), Josh Colbert (guitarist), Derick Cordoba (guitarist), Chad Neptune (Bass), and Steve Kleisath (drums), have put together songs such as, “A Blank Page Empire,” “Against My Better Judgment,” and “On Legendary,” that give a new mfurther seems forevereaning to what great music should sound like.  I have a massive CD collection and this record was in my CD player for months after I purchased it.  Another thing aside from the music itself that truly grasps my attention, are lyrics such as, “Please tell me when you’re through cause I may not be through with you,” from the song, “I Am.” Perhaps it’s the lyrics that I and other youngsters can relate to that makes this record so appealing.

I guess I love this record because of its passion and ability to make me feel something.  So I strongly recommend you pick this record up on your way home from school or work.  Whether you’re into punk, metal, hardcore, or even hip hop, I think this record is definitely worth listening to.
