Fall Out Boy
Take This To Your Grave:  Director's Cut
Fall Out Boy with the Director's Cut of Take This To YOur Grave
Fueled By Ramen Records
Release Date:  January 25, 2005

So for all of you who have been listening to Fall Out Boy's Take This To Your Grave and loving it, but are going crazy Fall Out Boy Music Video SHotbecause you wanna know where they got some of their ideas for lyrics or certain parts in song, Take This To Your Grave: Director's Cut is something you should definitely check out.  The enhanced part of the CD has a whole video explaining everything you'd like to know about each song.  Also, for those of you, who want their cover of "Roxanne" but don't want to buy Policia, that's also an exclusive track on there.  You also get to have the dance remix of "Grand Theft Autumn" (which is pretty cool).Fall Out Boy Promo Shot

Their video explaining everything is pretty cool.  It starts off playing Grand Theft Autumn (Dance Remix) while slowing pictures of the members.  Then it goes into explaining the songs and lyrics.  Well at least,Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump did.  Pete and Patrick would give these really detailed stories about how they came up with parts or lyrics.  Then Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley sit there not really explaining the song all that much, but just Fall Out Boy Livetalking about random things that have to do with band.  They were amusing though.  There are some parts where Pete or Patrick would say something and then it'd cut to Joe and Andy and they'd say, "That's not true."  It's pretty interesting to watch.

When watching the enhanced CD, you find that "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" almost didn't make it onto the album.  It also almost got called "Where Is Your Fall Out Boy LiveMan."  Ya, Andy also complains "Cuz of this damn song" they can't put metal riffs onto their next CD.  The song is about being taken for granted, but also taking some one else for granted at the same time.  There's a lot of interesting things you'll find out about this song on the enhanced CD.

Though I have never heard the actual Police version of "Roxanne," I say it sounds pretty good.  It's kinda weird hearing Fall Out Boy singing something like that (since it isn't exactly like how their music usually sounds), but I still say it's pretty good and impressive.  It also shows that they can go outside their genre without a problem and aren't afraid to try something different, which is a good thing since you know that you get variety from a band like that.

So I think the CD is worth getting if you want to find out about the songs a bit more.  Also, remember that's there's a limited copy of these CD's so get them while you can.
