Have you ever wanted to find an emo band that was filled with beautiful melodic vocals, but also had screaming thrown Emery Promo Shotin along with it?  Well, Emery is definitely it. On Emery's album, The Weak's End, you can hear the beautiful melodic voice that you always wanted coming from Toby Morrell's lips.  You can also hear plenty of keyboarding and screaming in The Weak's End.

"Walls" is the first song off the record and it's definitely a fan favorite.  It starts off by screaming "Are you listening?" and heavy guitar playing.  Then calms down a bit to sing the verse.  Then it picks up more speed starts singing "These fights with your arms left beside."  Then it calms down again for the next verse.  Then it goes into repeating "Let the walls have their say" and then goes very hard and starts screaming "There's no conversation."

Another song off the record is "Bloodless."  It has a melodic chorus that sings "He didn't know he was hungry."  Then calms down and sings "Some one had a knife and took away my eyes" then goes a bit harder and starts singing "The last time is right now/This choice will take or make everything" Then goes even harder and screams "Wash those days from your eyes."  Then goes back to being calm.  Then after the chorus again it goes into "The last time is right now" part, but instead of going harder is stays how it is and sings "I won't stand here."  Then it tricks you into thinking it's gonna calm down and then goes harder again and starts screaming "If this is the last time/ I won't forget you."  Then ends with "This is the last time" being screamed a few times.

One of the only songs that doesn't have screaming is "The Note From Which a Chord is Built."  It's also the shortest songs on the record.  My favorite lyric from it is "Paralyzed I thought I would fail you some how and let you down/But you saved me from death."

The Weak's End packaging is very different from others.  It contains pictures of a man with a fish bowl for an head, Emery Promo Shot which more water is added in the fish bowl in each picture.  At one point it includes the man pouring more water in the fish bowl.  Then on the last picture of the man is has fall onto the ground and the fishbowl is broken.

"Ponytail Parades" is also another popular song off the record.  It starts off with singing "Three sleepless nights/This isn't how it's suppose to be."  "Ponytail Parades" is like an emotional tidal wave with lyrics such as "Your careless and whispered/Insulting and bruising" and "How can you take all these days and throw them away."  It ends with "Walk away from me this night is done" being screamed.

Emery's album is filled with emotional lyrics.  Such as "Inside I am overwhelmed from holding back/but I know this won't be forever" from "Disguising Mistakes with Goodbyes," and "While your words evade me/I'll wait to remember you and what you have meant to me/Could never be forgetten" from "As Your Voice Fades."

"Fractions" starts off with quiet singing "one in three you're here to tell me we can't do this" and then sings "Anymore" at normal volume to get the song going.  It has lyrics like "Thats such a lovely color (It goes with your eyes)."  The one of the few times the song speeds up the pace is when Toby starts singing "These word's with no reply's/Stopping we's and starting I's."  It ends with the keyboard playing.

One of my favorite songs off the record is "As Your Voice Fades."  It starts off with "Somebody please tell me what I am suppose to do" being sung very quietly and continues with the whisper-like singing about the death of a loved one.  Then out of nowhere "Why did you die?" being screamed.  Then after screaming for a while it calms down and he starts sing "The brightness left your eyes as I held your face."  Then he sings another one of my favorite lyrics, which is "Don't tell me it the right time/And your last words will sustain me until my end..."  Then the song really calms down and some Emery Promo Shotgirl starts quietly talking.  Then once she's done, it immediately goes into screaming "Your life."  Then after a bit, "but my heart still bleeds/It longs for the day when we will be as one" with "Why did you die?" being screamed over it.

Another song off The Weak's End is "Under Serious Attack."  "Under Serious Attack" is a song that is constantly changing.  Starts off a bit quiet and then it goes heavier, then calms down once again and sings "Every time the sky breaks open with sunshine."  Then it quiets down a bit more and then goes back to normal volume when he sings "This is war/Can I take it anymore?"  The quiet backs down and starts singing "If I erase the line between forgotten days and memories I'd never change."  Then the music goes harder once again and then ends.

Emery's album, The Weak's End, is definitely an album that you will immediately fall in love with.  Toby Morrell's sweet beautiful voice is something you want to hear.  You'll definitely be missing out on alot if you don't get this CD.  It's definitely "best CD of the year" material.
