Copeland
Know Nothing Stays The Same

The Militia Group
Release Date: August 10, 2004
Well, even though there are only five songs (not including the hidden track) on Copeland's Know Nothing Stays the Same, the CD is still awesome. Aaron Marsh's voice alone can win over a million fans. No wonder why Underoath chose to have him do guest vocals on their most recent record. This EP is full of covers.
"Another Day In Paradise" is mostly a melodic sounding song with rock occasionally thrown in it. Half the reason it sounds melodic is the piano. The other reason is Aaron's amazingly beautiful voice. His voice is enough to make even the most emotionless and coldest person's heart melt. The verses talk about a homeless girl trying to get help from people and then the chorus sings "Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you an
d me in paradise." The song was orignally performed by Phil Collins.
Another song that is extremely melodic is "She's Always A Woman." This song was orignally written by Billy Joel. This song is basically only piano and Aaron's melodic vocals with a few additional things put in occasionally. It is one of most melodic songs off the record. You really see how amazing Aaron and his piano wonderfully mix together.
"Part-Time Lover" was originally performed by Stevie Wonder. The scary thing about
this sound is that I'm pretty sure I've heard this song (not Copeland's version) before, and I've been pretty sure until up to this point in my life that I have never heard any Stevie Wonder song before. But I think that Copeland did a pretty good job at covering it.
So overall, this CD is a pretty good CD to buy. You get to hear sweet, melodic vocals that make the songs that your parents once liked sound ten times better. So if you feel like hearing more melodic and softer music than the typical music you listen to everyday, this is a record you should check out.
