Coheed and Cambria First off...Whoever called this band “Metalcore” can die...Now, with that being said, Coheed and Cambria scared the poo out of me, and countless numbers of other fans a short time ago when they temperarily broke up as a band. They were more than likely stressed out from touring and being with the same guys for months but hey it's all good becuase they got back together and recorded a follow-up to their last album The Second Stage Turbine Blade, and it is entitled (as if you don’t already know) In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. Whoa buddy, let me tell you....it's a dandy. A lot of people don't have love for this band because they say they don't like the vocals. People always say “oh its too high pitched!!! I'm so closed minded and stupid, that I CAN'T listen to this!!!” Coheed and Cambria has always been known for their beautiful music, and they took it one step further with this disk. This album is FILLED with beautiful, very dramatic, and very melodic music. These guys are musical geniuses. This album takes my breath away; it's nothing less than a complete masterpiece.
Great lyrics, beautiful melodies, and brilliant musical experiments is what you will hear on this CD. This band mixes different music types to create their own, meaning that a wide range of people will love this CD as much as I do. As I said earlier, it is a complete and total masterpiece. let's get this thing started.
I personally don't understand how everything about the way Claudio sings is not amazing. He can sing like no other, and everything he does is brilliant. So yeah, all I'm trying to say here is that he has a beautiful singing voice and everyone should check it out...but I do have to admit....he’s got balls to sing like that...much respect.
This band as a whole has evolved in a beautiful way. Some bands can't do that. I know there are a lot of people who will disagree, but I thought the new Blink album was a rip off, so I'll use them as an example. Coheed and Cambria were able to change their sound, record it, and make everyone not care about their old CD because the new one kicks more ass! This CD is still filled with power and such, but its a bit more on the quiet side with less chaotic ambiance.
