Break The Silence with Near Life Experience

Release Date:  February 10, 2004

Break the SilenceIf you want to hear a very hardcore screamo band, you'll definitely want to buy Break the Silence's album, Near Life Experience.  It's filled with metalish hardcore guitar and all the screaming you could ever want.  It's all filled with a lot of awesome sounding guitar riffs.

"Six Foot Revolver" is one of the more popular songs amongst BTS's fan base.  It starts off with an awesome sounding guitar riff and then "To feel the same" gets screamed, and is immediately followed by the singing of "As you look into these eyes."  Most of the song is fast paced except for the chorus which slows down a bit, but not that much.  The song has a bunch of awesome guitar riffs in it, too.

The vocals in "Close My Eyes" are more melodic and don't have as much screaming.  The song is still very fast paced, though. It is a bit like an hardcore love song.  It has lyrics like "When I close Behind the silencemy eyes/I can feel that you're still here with me/As my heart beats on."

Even though "Iris" is really short, it is like one of the best songs on the record.  The first half of the song is extremely fast screaming. It's hard to keep up with the lead singer.  Then it calms down a bit for melodic vocals.  Then "Just rot" gets screamed and then the fast paced screaming comes back to scream "Now, you are dead to me anyway/The pain you have caused me will fade away/ I will go on, you will remain/You think you tried, and I think you're insane."  It's always the short songs that are the best songs.

When "The Likes Of Me" starts playing you first think that "Six Foot Revolver" is playing again because the guitar riff sounds pretty close to it, but then the song breaks off into a different sound.  The song is mixed with screaming and melodic vocals.  The song isn't as fast paced as all the others.

So if you like hardcore screamo bands that have very fast paced, energetic songs, then you should definitely get Break the Silence's Near Life Experience.  It's an extremely good CD with awesome guitar riffs.
