Well, after hearing two songs off of Boys Night Out's Broken Bones And Bloody Kisses, I knew I had to buy this album.  Boys Night Out Promo ShotSo after months and months of searching for it (since it's pretty hard to find), I finally found it and wasn't disappointed.

But how can you be disappointed when you got a song like "A Torrid Love Affair" on there.  Well, I have to say that the lyrics in this song are pretty gruesome due to the fact that it's mostly about killng a lover.  One of the most gruesome lyrics is "then, with bloodied flesh removed/your rib cage ripped away/and I saw why they say beauty comes from the inside."  My personal favorite lyric off the song (and out of the whole CD) is "The first time I saw a body bend that way I realized we're more beautiful dead than alive."  From the Boys Night Out Livebeginning guitar riff to the last screaming of "Save me or save yourself" the song stays amazing.

Another song that alot of people know is "Where We Breathe."  So the first few notes you hear trick you into thinking this is gonna be a melodic song.  Then the screaming vocals pop in and that idea totally goes down the drain.  So the song is a bit heavy while the screaming goes on and then the more melodic vocals come up slightly dimming it down, but not by that much.  So once you hear the melodic vocals you also hear a noteworthy lyric, which is "Now, I understand that your worst is beating the hell out of my best, and I can take Boys Night Out Liveit."  After that the song has on and off calm parts.  Another noteworthy lyric is "So let's begin this autumn drive/One jerk of the wheel and we'll see how cold this november water really is."

"Sketch Artist Composite" is another interesting song off the record.  The beginning of the song talks about following someone on their way home and killing them.  And then you hear the lyrics: "And I never got to know you and I never knew your name," which makes the song even crazier.  Then it becomes even more bizzare when you hear the lyrics "My God, it's beautiful the way the crimson syrup drains away/The art in the knife as it lathers red milk/You are my canvas," which that definitely gives art a pretty creepy meaning.

So overall, this is a hardcore emo album that has a bunch of songs about killing people.  Even though that kind of sounds boring, it actually isn't because the lyrics are so detailed and interesting.
