A Wilhelm Scream with Mute Print
Release Date:  April 20, 2004
Nitro Records

For those of us a little tired of cookie-cutter pop-punk, A Wilhelm Scream is our way out.  By combining abrasive, raspy A Wilhelm Scream Promo Shotvocals with gritty melodies and chunky harmonies these guys give punk a heavier, harder edge.  A Wilhelm Scream fall someplace between Hot Water Music and Rise Against as far as overall sound goes.

Lyrically, Mute Print is full of broad metaphorical topics that are sometimes vague, yet A Wilhelm Scream Livewell written and enjoyable.  A song like "Famous Friends and Fashion Drunks" discusses how people sell out and conform to whatever someone tells them to, while "The Rip" highlights people who really don't care about others.

The vocals are strong and gritty, but sometimes difficult to understand because there is so much going on in each song.  "Brand New Me, Same Shitty You," is a great example of the ferocity and strength of Nuno Pereira's vocal ability.

A Wilhelm Scream LiveA Wilhelm Scream use a lot of staccato guitar licks that are in some ways like a solo, but act as a base melody for the song.  Not only is Nicholas Pasquale Angelini's drumming ultra fast, it's heavy and powerful.  Mute Print emits an energy that will make the listener sweat just listening to it.

It's great to hear something that doesn't sound like everything else.  A Wilhelm Scream define the classic punk categorization in more ways than one.  Their music is about making a difference, not conforming and standing up for what you believe in.  Musically, Mute Print is not a manufactured mainstream album, which is another reason it's so raw and tasteful.
