XROXX Band of the Month December 2004 Michaelane rocks the Windy City and beyond. Surely you've heard of this legendary rock band hailing from Villa Park, IL. Well, for those of you who haven't, Michaelane Nate asked former band member, Sean Lamm, from a band called Tallege if he would be willing to do it and he quickly joined. They spent a month preparing at their practice space on the north side and then began playing shows at every venue that would have them. After a long summer of shows and recording they Sean decided he was going east in the fall so Michaelane was forced to find a new bass player and sadly was able to profit from the unfortunate break up of a very impressive semi-local band called Last Annual. Russ, the former bass player from Last Annual, joined Michaelane and that is the current line up. George (Guitar/Vocals), Joe (Guitar/Energy), Russ (Bass/Vocals) Nate (Drums). Michaelane has a lot of fun involved but is seriously dedicated to writing sincere songs that catch people's ears. No fashion, no image, just punk rock music with heart. was formed near Christmas 2003. The members at the time were George Castady, Joe Fontana, and Nate Burgard. 
George and Joe were friends for a long time and spent many hours playing acoustic guitars and writing various pop-punk songs. After a few years of college they decided to give music a serious chance. Past bands included Crackerjack and The Eighties. The first drummer that came to mind was Nate Burgard ,who by trade plays strictly metal drums. But he seemed to take to punk very easily. Fast drumming was an essential for them. They adopted the style of "early nineties Fat Wreck Chords" punk rock with influences mainly consisting of the big five: NOFX, Bad Religion, Face to Face, No Use for a Name, and 88 Fingers Louie. The band took form but lacked a bass player. 
ended up with a nine song CD still in it's final stages of mixing, but currently available at shows for free.
