If endurance wins the race then The Excuse, from Bowling Green, Kentucky, over the past half year have proven to be the Lance Armstrong of rock-n-roll. The five guys have decided to stick to what they enjoy the most instead of being distracted by the many anxieties life heralds. Choosing to avoid the drama of the he said, she said, cash or charge, we are the next big thing and any other non-pertinent factor that often distracts musicians The Excuse has devoted themselves to performing the music they love for the people who love them.
Forming from the ashes of two other bands, John Austin & Gunn, as well as Billy Kingdollar & Thomas Wise dropped their previous practice and began collaborating ideas for what was soon to become The Excuse. Picking up bassist Jeffery Gilbert along the way, who was a life long friend of Thomas and Billy, The Excuse was finalized and soon after recorded This Present’s Past with Danny Bailey at Krystal Music Studios in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Over the course of touring to support their debut, The Excuse has become even stronger and more unified in their craft and songwriting, the product of which will be seen in their highly anticipated upcoming release.
