The band first started out in 2002 as an experimental collaboration between two friends. After some line-up changes and new additions to the band, the project eventually matured into what is now Fuscia.
Fuscia’s intensity when performing live is beyond any comparison. The combined effort of each member on stage often leads way to a profound, emotional delivery that can only be described as “poetry in motion”. Due to their passion for music and high-energy performances, Fuscia is considered to be one of the most premier independent acts in the local Toronto music scene. Fuscia has played many successful shows locally and regionally and have shared the stage with acts such as: Swollen Members, Scratching Post, 30 Seconds to Mars, Project Wyze, Finger Eleven, Treble Charger, and American Hi-Fi.
While the band continues to maintain a diversified Alt-Rock oriented sound (influenced by the likes of the Deftones, the Used, and Finch amongst many others), it is very hard to label them or pin them to one specific genre simply because of their ingenious versatility. Within the fusion of post alt-rock, certain key elements of emo and some dynamic traces of post-hardcore, Fuscia has the unique ability to captivate any audience with their unparalleled style of play.
The boys in Fuscia are now currently in the process of releasing their independent, debut EP entitled, The Tuesday Morning EP. Having recorded the EP at Phase One Recording Studios in Toronto with George Seara (Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar, Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, Pink), Fuscia has created a unique record that stands out amongst all competition.
