Sometimes when musicians come together to play music, there is a certain chemistry involved. There's an exact point in time when the music, as well as the people, seem to click when it comes to writing and performing music. So is the story of Deagle. The members inconsistently have all played together in previous bands since 1996. The last and most recent time the members have performed with another was summer 2000. Upon the abrupt end of Rob's last band (Dodgeball) in the fall of 2002, he decided to start Deagle up with the intentions of gathering his former friends to take on the new musical brainchild. In the winter of 2002, Rob and a couple of friends went into the studio to lay down the four tracks which would become the new band’s CD EP. In April 2003, Deagle released their four-song CD EP debut entitled When Paris Sizzles....
Within a couple months, Deagle has earned such credits under their belt as independently touring semi-nationally and playing locally with well known signed acts, performing on the 2003 Van's Warped Tour, selling over 500 copies of their debut demo, and their song “New Old Life” has been nominated for a Best Composition Award from OnlineRockFest.com. In the winter, they started to record the follow-up EP called The Waiting Room at Planetarium Recording Studios in Mt. Pocono, PA while maintaining a full show schedule in between.
In February of 2004, Deagle started to hype up the anticipated follow-up to their four-song CD demo debut. They have been chosen as a featured band “Pure Pick” on the main page of Purevolume.com resulting in over 4,000+ plays since two new songs were posted, have done numerous interviews with magazines and local “zines” to promote the new record, and have been featured on many Internet sites including AcclaimedPunk.com, EmotionalPunk.com, and many others. In March of 2004, Deagle began talks of releasing the new CD with long time friend Tucker of The Pennyroyals and his label Rockout Records. They quickly signed a deal and on May 1, 2004, Deagle plans to release The Waiting Room on Rockout Records and plans to tour nationally in support of it. 2004 looks to be a very promising year for Deagle.
