Brought together by OFTENOT's frontman Josh Poore, Osbourne and Lanham formed what would become DDO in late 2001.  For about two months, they got together and worked kinks out of riffs that would ultimately become DDO's first songs.  Langshaw, who had never been in a live band before, was recruited by Lanham due to his gift of picking up songs after only one or two run-throughs.  Sure enough, at DDO's first practice (which lasted only two hours), Ryan had learned Sketch and Estil's songs like they had been a band for years already.  In those two short hours, they had written "Addicted," "Something Similar," "The American Boy," "From '88 To '91," and had learned a NIRVANA B-side, "Even In His Youth."

Their first show was on July 20, 2002, at The First Annual Warehouse Music Festival in Dover, Delaware.  Their blistering 45-minute set won over the crowd, and was so tight in its execution that many people asked the band if they had already been around a few years.

In their first year since their first show, DDO has been recognized as a promising up-and-coming band in the local DE music scene.  They've even had success as far as recognition on Epitaph.com, the website for Epitaph Records, home to punk legends Bad Religion, Pennywise and Rancid.  Their song "No Place For Diamonds" topped the Demo-Lition chart for three consecutive weeks, which doesn't seem like much, but it does when you realize songs on the Demo-Lition site are only supposed to be allowed up for ONE week.

DDO is constantly striving to become a leading voice in the underground music world.  More political and socially conscious lyrics have been emerging from Sketch's voice, in songs such as "Baccalaureate" and "Morals and Values."  Estil's craftsmanship of the breakdown is shining through in songs like "Blood On Blonde" and "Don't Let This One Go."  And Ryan's hard-hitting drum experimentations punch and kick their way through "Igniter" and "Marionette Heart."

DDO has recently been signed to local indie label, 401Records.
