It all started in the Spring of 2003 when Paul and Joe began jamming together. They quickly realized they wanted a full band, so they had their friend Brian come and play Bass for them. Thay called themselves The Fivestar. After writing a few songs thay played a couple of basement shows for friends. After wrinting a few more The Fivestar played The Stone Pony in the fall of 2003. After this the band really started to take shape as they created many more originals. To give the band the sound they reformed the band in August of 2004 and added Colin, Paul and Brian's long time friend, enter the band. This was when the name was changed to Blue Elixir. Combining the elements of pop punk with undertones of hardcore they sure have a sound of their own.
