Awake formed in the summer of 2002 when Alan Milin, Steve Jambor & Alex McCourt invited Andy Knapp to come and jam with them at rehearsal. This session resulted in a rare musical chemistry that no one was expecting. The music that emerged had a life of its own, combining punk, metal & rock influences into a ferocious, yet beautifully melodic, sound.
Awake’s personal lyrics and pure rock energy have formed one of the LA areas most explosive bands. Since their inception, Awake have played at renowned LA clubs like the Whisky and the Key Club, and continue to build a loyal fan base. Awake are currently working on their untitled EP.
