Article 57 is a band based out of Chicago, IL. The band formed four years ago and has put out four CD's on their own. In the summer of 2003, Article 57 went on a month long East coast tour and cought the attention of a famous producer, Dallas Austin. Dallas Austin has worked with stars that include TLC, Michael Jackson, Maddona, and Pink to mention a few.
Article 57 have played many of the prestigious venues around Chicago including the famous Fireside Bowl and the Metro. Some of the bands that Article 57 has opened for include: Mustard Plug, Wesley Willis, River City Rebels, Big D and the Kids Table, etc.
The band has been through two line-up changes in its four years. Rick left and was replaced by Vet in the spring of 2003; and Eric left the band in the summer two weeks before the tour and had to be replaced by Andy from Hidden Wall of Machine Guns for the tour and now has a permanent replacement of Keith Jakson. We are currently label-less but are communicating with a few record labels (A-F, Rowdy, etc.).
