As a result of the downfall to the first AWD, Peter still wanted to be in another band. As the story is told (We all know what happened) Vinnie Barone and Kyle Baehr offered to be in a band with Peter Traina 'cause they wanted a band. At this point Peter played bass, Kyle on drums and Vin on guitar. This led to the writing of some songs. "Vin's Song," which is an instrumental that we don't really use anymore, was written in that period by Kyle and Vin..."I got an A" got a major facelift since it was an old AWD song that wasn't liked, and never finished...The song got an additional bassline and new lyrics. "Wolfes Night Out"...The bands most popular song to date (I think?) was written here also...but also written back in the downfall of old AWD. This song got a facelift to...with addition vocals and harmonies...and a "infamous solo."
Enough of that, Danny re-joined the band about three days before a friend, Victoria's, party. He was taught the songs and what not and the story begins...Having a band with two brothers isn't always easy, but the LOVE is there. Four of the best friends who love to play tunes and write catchy sing-along songs. We could go on and on about the ups and downs we have faced...and go in depth about the songs...but I won't.
We earned money, got bigger amps, got better musically and then we began writing songs. We currently have eight songs and are making a few new ones...and a few that we have never finished and probably never will. We're also a band of luck...Good luck with recording for anyone who tries..We've failed over seven times trying on our own.
Well, anyway, for a good live show and a punk-influnced band, you should check out the boys of Another Wasted Day...Our influences are the weirdest influences ever...ranging from Green Day to Cold to Taking Back Sunday to The Misfits to D-12 but a lot of them don't bleed into the songwriting because we have a good idea of what we wanna sound like and achieve. AWD is based on simplicity yet still writing songs that are (attempting to be "timeless") and catchy. If we would be slapped with a label I guess you could call us "pop-punk," but we're not popular, but hey?...Who uses labels?
The CD will be out one day (We swear)...Who knows on the title but one will be out...Oh yeah, the CD's out now...So in conclusion...check AWD out, and help support us because we all know how hard it is to get known or even to get small shows around this area of the Pocono's...Love or Hate?
