Formed in Tucson in November of the year 2000, A Kindled Apparition originally consisted of Ian (Guitar/Vocals), Corey (Drums), and Chad/The Chad (Bass). Having been best friends in middle school, the three set out, practicing before and after school everyday in Corey's garage, then ended up toggling back and forth between the houses of the three, finally settling into Ian's room (The Bruise Room) in October of 2001. At this point, the band's name was The Bruise Room, due to the black and blue color of the room where the band played and spent their time.
In late 2002, the band recruited friend Dave (Guitar), and befriended Vicars (Roadie). Vicars set up the band's first show on February 15, 2003, convincing his girlfriend's parents to let the band play a show in their backyard. Since then, AKA has continued to practice and perform for Tucson audiences.
