5 Stars for Failure is an energetic four-piece based out of Minneapolis, MN. Their music can be described as a mix of punk, pop-punk, and screamo. They always strive for a unique sound, shades removed from what others are playing. They pride themselves on putting on an entertaining live show. They feel that the enjoyment of the crowd is just as important as their sound.
5 Stars for Failure formed as a five-piece when they were in 9th grade in a small northern MInnesota town and have been together for over four years. There have been a few member switches in their history; most recently when they acquired their friend Erik as lead singer. Erik's great attitude and love of music rounded out the band perfectly. His intense screams and Levi's harmonies make up 5 Stars' catchy vocals.
Right now the band's main goals are to get their name out, go on tour, and eventually sign with a label. They are a hard working group, dedicated to the local music scene. If perseverance and sacrifice is what it takes to make it in the music world, then 5 Stars for Failure is on the way to making their dreams come true.
