*Milo (named after a friend's dog) was originally formed back in 1999 by Chance and Tim, who enjoyed playing guitars together and liked the same bands. They soon decided to find a bassist and a drummer to complete the band. A few years and several band members later, Josh tried out and was invited to join in late 2002 to play bass. Josh knew a few drummers in the area, but none of them worked out with the band quite as well as Matt. He tried out in summer of 2003, in the middle of the recording of *Milo's first EP, Madison & Rock (with drums played by a former drummer). Matt impressed everyone right away and was invited to become part of the group immediately after trying out.
Shortly after, *Milo began playing shows in their hometown, Derby, KS, getting gigs at birthday parties and small local band shows. The release of Madison & Rock in late 2003 helped the band get more attention to themselves, and joining the Punk Alliance group helped them gain more shows out of town. The band plans on recording a sophomore EP in spring of 2004, and possibly touring a little over summer.
